All of the shelves have a slim piece of wood under them with a flat texture of wicker woven over them for beauty. Please notice the corner rattan corner braces under the shelves for even more stability. We finish them with rattan done in a criss cross lattice design on the sides & back. They are well made, yet light & airy.
